Known for its towering Opuntia cactus forest, vivid volcanic cliffs, and incredibly dense population of Galápagos land iguanas, this tour is a dream for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to experience the full range of Galápagos biodiversity in just one day. 🗓 Itinerary Overview ⏰ Departure: Between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. (hotel pickup included) 🛶 Transfer Time: ~40-minute bus ride + ~50-minute boat ride 📍 Estimated Return: Around 4:30 p.m., depending on sea conditions 🌵 Land Excursion: A Cactus Forest Full of Life The tour begins with a dry landing at South Plazas’ natural dock, where you’ll step straight into an otherworldly forest of giant Opuntia cacti—some growing up to 10 meters tall. Accompanied by a certified naturalist guide, you’ll walk a 1 km trail that winds through large colonies of land iguanas, often sunbathing along the path. As you approach the island’s edge, dramatic volcanic cliffs drop into turquoise waters, offering stunning views and prime opportunities for spotting seabirds in flight and at rest.
